The CJP team had reached the village on Friday, August 21, to inspect the school as part of its ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign. A confrontation broke out between the team and local residents, with both sides accusing each other of assault and creating a ruckus.
Shivdaspura SHO Rajesh Gautam said a villager alleged that CJP members arrived in large numbers and intimidated residents. A separate complaint by a CJP member alleged that the team was beaten during the incident.
CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka alleged BJP involvement, while villagers claimed funds had already been sanctioned to repair the school building.
