Margao Court Remands Three Accused to 5 Days Police Custody in Nuvem Assault Case

The Margao JMFC Court has remanded three accused to five days of police custody in connection with the death of an unidentified man who was allegedly assaulted by an unlawful assembly at Nuvem on August 27.

The trio was arrested by Maina-Curtorim Police following the incident involving the unidentified man, who was reportedly suspected of being involved in a two-wheeler theft.

The victim was rushed to South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, where he was declared brought dead.

Police are continuing their investigation to establish the circumstances leading to the assault, identify the deceased and ascertain the roles of those allegedly involved in the incident.
