A scooter rider was killed on the spot after a car collided with the two-wheeler near the exit of the newly inaugurated six-lane elevated corridor on Saturday. One of the occupants of the car was reportedly in critical condition, while three others sustained injuries in the crash. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The identity of the deceased and the injured was not immediately available. The accident occurred a day after the elevated corridor was opened to vehicular traffic on September 11. It is the first fatal accident reported on the newly opened structure.
