The trial court at Merces has remanded Israeli national Yaniv Benaim, also known as Atala, to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with a drugs case.
Benaim was produced before the court in connection with the case and was subsequently remanded to judicial custody.

Advocate Manguirish Usgaonkar, who is representing Benaim, said that his bail application is currently pending before the High Court.
The matter is now awaiting further proceedings before the High Court on the bail plea.
