Panaji: Goa Medical College (GMC) is introducing a series of measures aimed at improving patient care and strengthening nutritional support for those undergoing treatment.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said the initiatives include replacing traditional steel plates with covered Cambro plates for serving meals to patients. The new system is intended to improve hygiene and ensure better handling of patient food.

Under the new measures, curd will also be served with lunch, while patients requiring assisted nutrition will receive protein-rich nutritional feeds to support their dietary needs during treatment.
Rane said the initiatives are part of efforts to place greater emphasis on patient well-being and quality of care, while further strengthening what he described as the Goa model of healthcare.
The measures are aimed at combining improvements in food service and nutritional support with broader efforts to enhance the patient experience at GMC.
