Traffic police have issued an advisory in view of beautification works on the Old Market Circle–KTC Bus Stand road, which will commence from September 24. Motorists have been advised to follow the marked traffic diversions and maintain a maximum speed limit of 30 kmph while travelling through the affected stretch. Commuters have also been urged to avoid the Old Market–KTC Bus Stand road wherever possible and use the Western Bypass and other alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion and delays during the work. Traffic police have appealed to motorists to cooperate with the diversions and follow the instructions of traffic personnel deployed in the area.
