MARGAO: Residents of Fatorda are up in arms over the bad condition of roads in the constituency.
Rallying under the banner of Fatorda Youth Association, the residents have served a memorandum on the district Collector, South on Monday demanding repair of the roads within 15 days or threatened to block the roads at Agalli, Ambaji and a dharna the PWD office after the expiry of the deadline.
Association President Florinda Miranda drew attention of the collector that the roads in ward no I & III in Fatorda constituency are totally damaged and in a dilapidated state, posing danger to motorists and pedestrians alike.
They pointed out that the residents will be compelled to resort to modes of agitation if the PWD fails to undertake repairs within 15 days.
