Two die in Curtorim, Vasco mishaps

A 35-year old motorcyclist Jose Gomes was killed in a road accident at Raitolem, Curtorim on early Wednesday morning.
Maina Curtorim police said the motorcyclist was knocked down by a speeding truck. The accident at around 8.20 am.
The police arrested the truck driver for rash and negligent driving leading to the death of the motorcyclist. He was later released on bail.
Vasco reporter adds:
An elderly pedestrian from Mundvel-Vasco was fatally knocked down near the KTC bus stand in the port town.
According to Vasco police, Rozalina Flacio Colaco (79) was crossing the road, when an unidentified vehicle knocked her down on Tuesday night. She was shifted to the GMC hospital, where she breathed her last on Wednesday morning.
Vasco police is investigating the case.
