Goa and Pune HS to clash in final today

MURIDA-FATORDA: Loyola High School, Margao and Loyola High School, Pune will clash in the final of the Loyola Platinum Cup on Saturday following their wins in their respective semi-finals on Friday.
In the first semi-final, Loyola High School, Pune overpowered their rivals St. Vincent’s High School, Pune with a 3-1 victory.
In the second semis, Loyola HS Margao blanked St Britto HS, Mapusa.
Buoyed up by the vociferous crowd, Loyola, Margao started firing all cylinders right from the word go. 
The first goal of the match came in the 13 th minute of the first half when Hayden Fernandes’ free-kick was perfectly headed into the nets by Loyola’s Rui Noronha. 
Later, Loyel Vaz scored a brace as they led 3-0 at the breather.
In the second half, in order to recover lost ground, St. Britto’s engineered a few intrusions in the opposition territory, but lack of finishing let them down. Loyola’s Rui Noronha bagged the man of the match award.
