PANJIM: Goa Forward Party attacked the Congress stating that the latter has gone organisationally bankrupt and is trying to whip up caste sentiments in the Panjim and Valpoi by-polls.
GFP Chief Spokesperson Trajano D’Mello said, “The by-elections have exposed the organisational bankruptcy of the Congress. They went begging to Babush, Adv Desai and Ashok Naik all non-Congress people.”
Questioning the selection of Girish Chodankar and Roy Naik, D’Mello said, “The Congress has brazenly insulted the intelligent Panjim electorate by importing a candidate from Margao.”
Taking a dig at the dismal presence of the Congress in Panjim, he said, “Girish has been trying to call a meeting of Congress workers of Panjim constituency and found it difficult to collect even five persons. He also started learning where the booths are located. This explains that he is a non-starter.”
