“Given the increasing popularity of various schemes and policies implemented by our government, Opposition is frustrated. From lack of winnable candidates to failed alliance talks, they resorted to violence right inside the temple of democracy. This rowdy conduct by Vijai Sardesai and Rohan Khaunte is unbecoming of a public representative. I must remind them, people of Goa are watching,” Sawant said.

The CM also responded to various statements made by the Opposition against the Goa Bhumiputra Adhikarini Bill 2021 that has evoked a lot of response from the public as well.

“If the Opposition wants to go to court to challenge this bill, I cannot stop them. We are ready to fight the same in the court. This bill is a historic one after the Kul Mundkar Act,” the CM added.
