PORVORIM: The foundation stone of the airport at Mopa will be laid in the second half of September, Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar told the Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
He said that the opening of bids has been postponed to August 26 on the request of two of the companies that were shortlisted. He added that the government has carried out some modalities in the bidding.
Two of the bidders were due to exit from the bidding if the opening of bids was not postponed, Parsekar said. “We have decided to postpone the opening so that we will get good rate and fair competition in biding,” Parsekar said.
