Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, in a written reply to the House said that Mallya’s UB Infrastructure Private Limited had applied for a casino licence in 2013.
Parsekar was responding to a question raised by Congress MLA Digambar Kamat who had asked which companies had applied to set up casinos in the State since 2013.
The Chief Minister said other companies namely Delta Corp, MKM Grand Gaming and Entertainment, Goan Recreation Clubs, Eden Estates and Leisure and Goa Golf Club, had also submitted applications.
As per government records, tabled on the floor of the House, the directors of UB Infrastructure Projects Limited are Ramakrishna Shivcharan, Ajay Kumar Vijay, and Manmohan Singh Kapur.
