This is the state of affairs in Alto Porvorim near the Socorro Panchayat. Street lights that are often off at night beckoning burglars, when on and working are covered with wild creepers. To add to this, tree branches overhang the electrical lines causing possible hazards.
Stray dogs are galore… these have neither been neutered/ sprayed, therefore multiplying by the dozen, causing packs of dogs roaming the streets. They have not been injected for rabies and residents have been bitten forcing them to take the painful anti rabies injections.
Our so called authorities pass these scenes almost daily, but action has not yet been taken. Are the authorities – as always – waiting for the worst to happen before taking appropriate action?
