PANJIM: Goa’s final list of voters for Lok Sabha elections stands at 11,79,644 as on April 19, 2024, as per the statistics released by the Chief Electoral Office (CEO), Goa on Tuesday.

Of these 5,71,617 are men, 6,07,715 are women and 12 are transgender voters. Number of voters in South Goa stand at 5,98,934 while voters in North Goa stand at 5,80,710. There are in all 300 service voters including 133 in North Goa and 167 in South Goa district.

During the continuous updating process the total number of electors added in electoral roll from final electoral roll 2024 published on January 5, 2024 to last date of receiving nomination i.e. April 19, 2024 are 19,949 and total number of deleted voters are 7,544.

As many as 7,544 voters have been deleted from electoral roll – 3,555 from North Goa and 3,989 from South Goa. Of the 7,544 names deleted, 2,194 have expired, 335 are repeated voters, 371 are disqualified, 4,269 are shifted electors while 375 are missing voters.

The State has enrolled 28,042 newly registered voters, 9,423 Persons with Disability (PwD) voters, 11,502 voters in 85 plus age category and 84 overseas voters.

Earlier, as per the final electoral roll 2024 published on January 5, 2024, the total voters registered in the State were 11,67,237, out of which 5,75,910 were in North Goa and 5,91,327 in South Goa district.

The electoral roll was updated further till April 19, 2024 i.e. last date of receiving nominations. The total electors for the State as on April 19, 2024 is 11,79,644.
