margao: The Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao along with PWD and Railways officials inspected and discussed the issues pertaining to the work of the Seraulim level crossing underpass work. 

According to officials, the troubles of people in and around Seraulim may end soon as the agency claims that the work of the underpass may finish by May 2021. 

Churchill along with the panchayat representatives of Seraulim and the officials of Railways as well as PWD paid a visit to the site, where they attempted to resolve the issues of land and electrification of the underpass. The work of the underpass is worth Rs 7 crores approximately and will be done on 50-50 contributions by the State Government and Railways.

When asked if the issue of water logging will continue at this place, Churchill said, "This is a full proof technology and water logging will not happen here.”

Churchill also thanked the residents around the area for having allowed the agency to store the material in their land for the purpose of the work. The contractor agency said once the PWD gives the above land and also electrification plan they will begin work and complete it by May 2021.
