‘Lights in darkness’ at Ponda bypass roads

The three bypass roads at Curti-Khandepar, Dhavlim Farmagudi and Bethora along the NH stretch are always in the dark as many street lights are not functioning here putting the lives of commuters and pedestrians at risk in the area. 

Herds of stay cattle squatting and wandering freely along the highway has turned the area into a nightmare for motorists.

A median gap at Curti, a sharp turn at Kerya, the stretch of the Dhavlim Farmagudi at Kapileshwarim underpass near the bullet showroom and the Bethora Borim area of the NH are always in the dark putting motorists to inconvenience at nights. 

All the bypass stretches are full of sharp turns and are highly accident prone zones.

Residents and commuters have now demanded that the power department fix the street lights and illuminate the entire stretch at the earliest and save precious lives.
