Customs seizes 12 gold bars hidden in torch

VASCO: Goa Customs on Friday seized 12 gold bars worth lakhs of rupees from an overseas passenger coming from Sharjah to Goa flight.

Goa Customs via its official Twitter handle tweeted, “Today September 24, 2021, at Goa Airport, Officers of Goa Air Customs, seized 12 gold bars weighing 1399.2 grams from an international pax coming from Sharjah to Goa by Flight No G9492. The gold was concealed in torch. Further investigation is under progress.”
