PANJIM: The State Government on Wednesday launched an online ‘Temporary Travel Pass’ facility to travel short distances for the purpose of buying grocery, medicines or withdrawal of money from ATM.
In a press statement, the government said that in view of the prevailing situation posed by COVID19, standard operating procedures are issued by the government for availing travel pass towards movement of citizens and vehicles upon approval from concerned authorities.
The temporary pass facility is dedicated to cater the needs of senior citizens, differently-abled, pregnant women and other medical emergency situations of citizens. The pass will be valid for a period of two hours and to ensure social distancing, the pass would be issued in a phased manner depending on time slot.
Those wanting online passes, should register on www.goaonline.gov.in by providing email ID, Mobile No, name, address and date of birth.
Once approved, the applicant can download the pass and carry it to the specified location along with his/her ID proof.
