PANJIM: The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has constituted the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Goa, appointing Purushottam Raya Pednekar as its chairman.
According to a notification, Dr Dipak C S Gaitonde has been appointed as Member while Director (Environment and Climate Change) is the Ex-Member Secretary.
The Chairman and members of the authority will hold office for a period of three years from the date of publication of the notification in the Official Gazette.
The MoEF&CC has also constituted the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee appointing Pascoal Barbosa Noronha as its chairman.
Dr Nitin S Sawant, Assistance Professor of Zoology, Goa University, Dr Subhash Hanamantappa Bhosale, Prasad Shashikant Rangnekar, Dr Jose Romeno Faleiro, Sanjay Jahagirdar, Sujeetkumar Mariappa Dongre, Scientist-D, Blue Flag India, Centre for Environment Education and Sanjay Amonkar have been appointed as members of the committee while Senior Environmental Engineer, Goa State Pollution Control Board has been appointed as Member Secretary.
The Chairman and members of the committee will hold office for a period of three years from the date of publication of the notification.
