CALANGUTE: ‘Killer mom’ Suchana Seth may have not yet confessed to committing the murder of her four-year old son to the police, however the police have achieved a major breakthrough in the case, as they have found a note written in English in the same bag where victim Chinmay’s body was kept.

Written on a tissue paper with an eye-liner, the lines state, “I am extremely guilty and frustrated. I love my son but I did not want him to see his father.”

Police said that Suchana has confessed to have written the note.

Meanwhile, police contacted the forensic experts and took the samples of Suchana’s handwriting on Thursday.

Although from the note it seems that Suchana has confessed to have committed the crime, she has not confessed doing so during the police inquiry.

As per the information police received from Suchana’s co-workers, she used to dote upon her son and used to constantly say that her son reminds her of her husband Venkatraman due to similar resemblance.

Sources said that Suchana had come with her son on a vacation to Goa in December 2023 too.

After taking her handwriting samples, Suchana underwent a medical test. Police stated that her lawyer was also allowed to meet her on Wednesday.

She has not made any special requests apart from tea and coffee and is served fish-curry rice just like other accused, said police.

Meanwhile, police recorded statements of two more persons on Thursday and so far statements of 15 persons have been recorded.

The police will likely take Suchana to the crime scene on Friday, January 12, hoping to gather more details. The statement of Suchana’s husband will be recorded either on Saturday or Sunday. Towel, pillow, cough syrup bottles and her bag involved in the crime have been seized by the police and since she is not cooperating with the investigation, the police will pray before the court to extend her custody.

On Sat, killer mom sent a WhatsApp to boy’s father “YOU CAN MEET THE CHILD”; On Sunday she flew out to Goa

Strange behaviours, silences and non-cooperation have dominated the Suchana Seth Saga. #GoaKillerMom story has become the topmost trending stories in the country competing and even beating major national stories

PANJIM: Even as important pieces of physical evidence in the CEO Killer Mom case the Calangute police are emerging, Suchana Seth has continued to remain quiet even after several rounds of interrogation. The police are now placing reliance on statements and physical evidence to make a water-tight case and a successful trial.
On Thursday, the police informed that they had recovered a knife, a red bag, a towel and a pillow as a part of evidence of the case. The crime scene visit with the accused however did not happen on Thursday.
The Police interrogation however suggested that Suchana Seth’s motive to murder her child remains unclear. The Director General of Police Jaspal Singh while speaking in a camera interview said, “The accused is not cooperating at all. Hence we have to rely upon the evidence that we collect.”
Police sources have also informed that Seth had sent a WhatsApp message to her husband Venkat Raman on Saturday stating, “YOU CAN MEET THE CHILD”  on Sunday (In Bengaluru).  But, on Sunday she flew to Goa with her son and stayed there for two days in the Sol Banyan Grand service apartment. It is still unclear why Seth may have called her estranged husband and later evaded him on his visitation day.
The police are now looking into the Call Detail Records of Seth to assess whom she spoke to in the 3 days before the murder.
Information of some more person/s being involved in the incidents made rounds on Thursday. However, the Calangute Police Inspector Paresh Naik has termed the information as fake.
