Quepem COVID Care Centre starts functioning with 12 patients

QUEPEM: The much needed Government sanctioned COVID Care Centre to cater to the needs of affected patients in the jurisdiction of Balli, Quepem , Curchorem and Sanguem health centres was inaugurated at the Quepem Government College ,sports hall ,on May 7 Dy. CM Chandrakant (Babu ) Kavlekar has started functioning and 12 patients are undergoing treatment. 

Kavlekar who has donated the flowmeter assemblies, other equipment, oxygen cylinders etc. also has stationed a fleet of 6 vehicles for the use of transporting patients. He has also made arrangements to get necessary permissions from the concerned authorities. “Apart from him, Member Shopkeepers of Curchorem Merchants Association generously donated several other required items,” said,Pradip Kakodker, CA . 

Kakodker , who meticulously planned, initiated and coordinated the entire process of the set up along with Sachin Kunkolienker ,OSD to Dy. CM. “The patients were admitted at the facility from 11.5.2021 and as on today 12 patients are undergoing treatment. Renowned cardiologist, Dr Pradnya Kakodker has volunteered to be visiting doctor to the centre .This well equipped facility will be a big relief for the affected patients,” said James Fernandes.
