BICHOLIM: Some unknown culprits committed a theft of around Rs 80,000 by breaking into the office of Ganesh Vidhylaya, Harvalem-Sanquelim, on Wednesday late night.
The incident came to light on Thursday morning when the peon of the school arrived to open the school.
A complaint was lodged on Thursday by the school management in which it stated that the thieves stole a laptop, a computer monitor and a donation box containing cash around Rs 7,000 consequently resulting into total theft of Rs 80,000.
Dog squad was also pressed into service, so also finger print experts were also called, but could not gain any breakthrough. Bicholim Police have registered an offence against unknown culprits. PSI Gopal Gawas is investigating the case under the guidance of PI Mahesh Gadekar.
