Massive Fire in Mumbai's Goregaon Claims Seven Lives, Injures Over 40

A massive fire engulfed a 7-storey building, resulting in the loss of seven lives and leaving more than 40 people injured at Goregaon, Mumbai. The fire erupted around 3 a.m. in the Jay Bhavani building, located in the Azad Nagar area of Goregaon West, as confirmed by a statement from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The injured were transported to HBT Hospital and Cooper Hospital in Mumbai.

Among the seven fatalities, two were minors. Of the 40 injured individuals, 12 were male, and 28 were female, with one of them being a minor.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his condolences, stating, "Pained to know about the loss of lives in the fire incident at Goregaon, Mumbai. We are in touch with BMC & Mumbai Police officials, and all the assistance is being provided. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and wish speedy recovery to the injured ones."

The ferocious fire engulfed the building, consuming shops, scrap materials, cars, and other vehicles parked on the ground floor.
