PANJIM: A Ramesh double helped Benfica Youth Club score a fluent 3-0 win over Baina SC in the Goa Football Association U-14 League match played at Cansaulim ground, on Thursday.
Benfica scored the first when Ramesh Heddri on intercepting a pass in the defensive third rounded off the keeper to give Benfica their first of the evening.
Hardly had the joys settled down, Benfica scored their second in the 10th minute through Aaron Ferandnes. Benfica were way better than Baina SC, as the players showed unity on the pitch as they attacked in numbers and defended together whenever required thus making it difficult for Baina SC. Post resumption Benfica scored the third in the 34th minute trough Ramesh.
