The ESG management is tracking data closely and the numbers have shown an impressive increase in the number of films and delegates coming this year

– Entertainment Society of Goa has said in the five
days the film festival has commenced over
300 films from 76 countries have been showcased. The 50th anniversary of the
film festival was coming along fine and had evoked a strong response from the
people. The Short film festival which was announced had received around 400
responses which meant approximately 4000 film enthusiasts were working towards
meeting the deadline set for November 29.

He admitted to teething problems in the software which were
being sorted out. Now with all the sophisticated software in place they were
able to crunch the data which presented interesting information.

This year 10,190 delegate cards were printed. The highest
category were cine-enthusiasts at 4817. 1227 were professional and 1852 were
students who did not have to pay a pie. So far there have been 188 screenings
with anywhere between 12, 13,000s being used every day which meant around
53,000 tickets had been used so far. Around 1000- 1100 used at least one ticket
per day, 2100 to 2500 2 a day, 3500 3 a day and 5500 to 6000 4 per day. Around
25 to 30 percent who booked for tickets were a no show. 7162 have watched at
least one ticket. There were 640 media delegates and around 682 delegates used
more than 15 tickets.

He
admitted to being happy at the reduced usage of paper , plastic bottles and the
reduced usage of taxis and the increase in the use of autos.
