Growing attacks on churches

I refer to the article in Herald titled ‘ Church vandalised in Delhi…  ’ This is the third attack on a Catholic Church that too in the capital city. During Christmas Week the Christmas crib of another church was burnt but till today the culprits have not been brought to book. Where were the police when this happened? The chief of Delhi police is perhaps kept busy investigating the ‘Tharoor-Sunanda’ case and rapes and communal attacks are happening right under his very nose. The PM is busy changing names of festivals and old schemes.  If the government was serious then why the churches were not given protection? After the BJP has come to power certain communal organisations have become very bold and have started persecuting the peaceful catholic community in other parts of India and are pressurizing the government to come out with an ‘anti-conversion law’ which will be used to further persecute Christians and our catholic institutions thus going against our Constitution. We Goans are known for our communal togetherness and hope our MLAs and Ministers show the way by pressurizing those at the  centre to deal firmly with these elements trying hard to sow the seeds of discord everywhere .
