Women’s reservation will empower women
The introduction of the Bill reserving 33% of seats for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies literally sent ripples of joy across the Indian continent as the country has high expectations from the women, whose capacity to contribute towards the growth of the nation in every sphere of administration and development is based upon her capabilities of the mind and the heart and her desire to give her best in whatever responsibility she undertakes
When the Prime Minister of the country went ahead with the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha with an intention to reserve 33% of seats for women in the Lok Sabha as well as State Assemblies, I am sure many capable women must have started to give it a thought, especially since the Lok Sabha elections are around the corner.
The Indian society at large was jubilant as this was going to be a God sent opportunity for the women of India to contribute more significantly in the nation building process.
However, the fact that the Women Reservation Bill will come into effect only after the process of census and delimitation is completed, which could take another 10 years or more, has the public wondering why the Government of the day has introduced the Bill so much ahead of time, before the completion of all the procedural needs. However, the Indian Woman knows to decipher between fiction and reality. It is not easy to fool the Indian Mahila!

Any dog can turn aggressive
It is learnt that the State government is reportedly contemplating banning some aggressive breeds of dogs that pose danger to humans. Banning some aggressive breeds of dogs is a step in the right direction.
However it must be said that any dog can turn aggressive depending on certain conditions. The reason for the aggressive behaviour includes fear, territoriality, frustration, or instinct. Dogs who underwent abuse as puppies often turn out to be aggressive when they reach adulthood. Some dogs are not socialized properly. This can lead to fear and anxiety when meeting new people or other animals.
It’s normal for dogs to get stressed out when there’s a change in their environment, like if they’re boarding at a new place or perhaps when they have been left alone for long periods as they may be going through separation anxiety.
Discomfort due to emotional stress or major life changes will often be shown through aggression. Once the problem is identified the owner should make a plan to change the dog’s behaviour and find an effective way to eliminate the aggressiveness.

Give nutritious mid-day meal to kids
The mid day meal scheme in schools introduced by the
government, serves several
purposes.
The mid-day meal objective is to provide healthy nutritious food to students from schools in and around Goa and eventually eradicate malnutrition-related disabilities. Today, it has become one of the most extensive school feeding programs in the world, covering millions of students nationwide. Yet, quality issues need urgent attention if mid-day meal programmes are to realise their full potential. Besides, activists allege that the meal served doesn’t meet the nutritional standards set by the Right to Education Act, 2009.
There needs proper quality check before the meal is served to the children. DoE should take measures, including implementing stricter monitoring mechanisms, conducting regular audits, and encouraging public participation in monitoring the scheme.
