There are several rumours of Mr Parrikar moving to Delhi. While we wish him all success in his new endeavours, I must say he leaves the state of Goa in a pathetic state. The tourist season has begun and the roads are in such a shoddy state. The garbage is another big problem. Nothing has been done to tackle it, only the blame game is on. Mr Parrikar’s successor will really have problems when he takes over. What a contrast to Anandiben’s statement when she took over as Chief Minister of Gujarat, she states I have no problem running this state because Narendra Modi has left it in such good shape.
