Similarly there are also leaders at the state level who have contributed for the welfare and interest of the State. For example Late Matanhy one such stalwart who deserves to be properly honoured. The best way will be to have his statue in front of Margao Collectorate which is named after him. Moreover he is the architect of BJP’s victory in the last Assembly election, hence the government has to pay him due respect and honour. The Ramponkarancho Ekvott is putting up an statue at the Cansaulim road junction, in gratitude of Matanhy’s fight for their interest. As such the government should not feel it is left behind.
