Building Collapses In Delhi’s Satya Niketan, Several Feared Trapped

A building collapsed near Satya Niketan in southwest Delhi on Sunday afternoon, leaving several people feared trapped under the debris. The Delhi Fire Services received an alert about the collapse at around 1.30 pm, following which rescue operations were launched.

Eight fire tenders have been deployed at the site as rescue personnel continue efforts to locate and evacuate those trapped. One person has been rescued so far, while the search for others is underway.

The building reportedly functioned as a paying guest accommodation. An eyewitness claimed that around 50 students may have been inside when the structure collapsed. Visuals from the site showed a large crowd gathered as rescuers and locals searched through the debris.

The area has a large student population, with several educational institutions located nearby. Authorities are continuing the rescue operation and further details are awaited.
