Elderly Father Dies After Alleged Assault By Son In Property Dispute

A 70-year-old man died in Bengaluru after he was allegedly assaulted by his son during a dispute over property and family matters. The victim, Munikrishnappa, was reportedly attacked on Saturday night at his residence in Indiranagar. Police said the accused, identified as Mohankumar, allegedly beat his father during an argument that escalated into violence. The elderly man later succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the assault. Authorities have arrested the accused and launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the fatal incident.

The case comes shortly after another shocking domestic crime in the city, where a 33-year-old software engineer, Rohan Chandra Bhat, allegedly stabbed his parents at their home in Vignan Nagar following a family dispute. The injured couple were rushed to Manipal Hospital, but doctors declared them dead on arrival.
