A shocking crime has shaken residents of Andhra Pradesh after the body of a missing seven-year-old girl was discovered hidden inside a drum in the Annamayya district. The daughter of a handloom worker had gone missing on Monday, prompting a large-scale search operation. Investigators used CCTV footage to track movements near the locality, eventually identifying a suspect, Kulavardhan, who is now in police custody. Authorities confirmed the case has been converted from a missing-person investigation into a murder probe, though the motive remains unclear. Speaking from Amaravati, MLA Nawaz Basha said the government has been informed and assured the victim’s family that strict punishment, including life imprisonment or death penalty, would be pursued if the accused is convicted.
