India has extended a formal invitation to Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to visit the country, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi sending his greetings and best wishes to the new government. The message was delivered by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who met Rahman in Dhaka shortly after the swearing-in ceremony. Officials said the interaction underscored the importance of sustaining strong bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in key areas such as trade, connectivity, and regional development.
