A private jet skidded off the runway seconds after taking off from the Mohammadabad airstrip in Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad on Thursday, officials said.
The aircraft, bound for Bhopal, veered off course and slid for nearly 400 metres before coming to a halt on a grassy patch. Fortunately, all onboard escaped unhurt.

According to sources, low air pressure in the tyres might have caused the incident. However, a detailed investigation is underway.
The jet carried top executives of Woodpecker Greenagri Nutrients Private Limited , Deputy Managing Director Ajay Arora, SBI Head Sumit Sharma, and BPO Rakesh Tiku, along with pilots Captain Naseeb Bamal and Captain Prateek Fernandes.
Company’s UP project head, Manish Kumar Pandey, said the VT Day jet was operated by Jet Serve Aviation Private Limited and took off around 10.30 am. Arora later confirmed they would board another flight from Agra to Bhopal.
Pandey alleged pilot negligence, claiming the crew was aware of the low tyre pressure before take-off.
Meanwhile, the local fire brigade stated they had not been informed about the scheduled flight and alleged that the treasury fee for take-off had not been deposited.
Following the incident, police officials, including Kotwali in-charge Vinod Kumar Shukla, DSP Ajay Verma, SDM Sadar Rajnikanth, Additional SDM Ravindra Kumar, and regional accountant Sanjay Kumar, reached the site for inspection.
Captains Bamal and Fernandes have not yet commented on the incident.
