2 held in jewellery theft case

Calangute Police on Sunday arrested two persons in connection with the theft of jewellery worth Rs 1.75 lakh at Calangute.
Calangute Police arrested Ramkrishna Sawant and Chandrakant Harijan, both staff of a reputed hotel in Calangute.
In his complaint, Manoj Rana of New Delhi and a resident of Uttarkand, told Calangute Police that his wife’s pouch containing jewellery was found missing from their rented room.
The pouch contained a Mangalsutra with a diamond pendant, four pairs of diamond earrings, two gold chains, three gold pendant diamond, one pair of earring, small baby ring and a diamond set necklace with earring.
