MAPUSA: Calangute police arrested four persons for consuming alcohol in public places and for creating nuisance.
According to Calangute police, police arrested four persons — Prakash Singh (Chattigarh), Shivshankar Ahdar and Dablu Mahanto (Jharkhand) and Salman Thakur (Madhya Pradesh) for consuming alcohol and for creating nuisance on Calangute beach.
The accused were medically examined at North Goa District Hospital, Mapusa where it was confirmed that they were under the influence of alcohol.
They were produced before JMFC Mapusa and later released.
