Sankalp Amonkar Urges Women to Trust CM, Accuses Opposition of Misleading Ujwala Scheme Beneficiaries

MORMUGAO: MLA Sankalp Amonkar has accused the opposition of spreading misinformation about the Goa Ujwala Scheme and creating unnecessary fear among women beneficiaries.

Amonkar said opposition leaders were allegedly misleading women by claiming that availing benefits under the Goa Ujwala Scheme would affect their Griha Aadhar and Dayanand Social Security (DSS) Scheme benefits.

He warned the opposition against spreading what he described as false information and attempting to create confusion among beneficiaries. Amonkar also pointed out that some of the same opposition leaders raising questions over the scheme were distributing its application forms in their respective constituencies.

The MLA urged women not to fall prey to misinformation and appealed to them to place their trust in Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and the state government.

Amonkar maintained that the government’s welfare initiatives were aimed at benefiting the people and said beneficiaries should verify information through official sources rather than relying on claims being circulated by political opponents.
