7 govt bills introduced in Assembly

PORVORIM: : As many as seven government bills including the amendment to The Goa Staff Selection Commission Bill, were introduced in the Legislative Assembly on Monday.

of conduct of theexamination and selection for filling up of posts where advertisements were issued prior to January 8, 2022.

Law and Judiciary Minister Nilesh Cabral introduced the Goa Succession, Special Notaries and Inventory Proceeding (Amendment) Bill, 2023, which seeks to make provision for making applicable amendment to said 

sub-section (1) of section 52 to pending cases/appeals. However the amendment shall not disturb the rights which got crystallised before the enactment of this legislation.

The other Bills introduced were the Goa Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes Category (Regulation of Issuance And Verification of Caste Certificate) Bill, 2023; The Goa Value Added Tax (Second Amendment) Bill, 2023; The Goa Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2023; The Goa (Recovery of Arrears of
