PANJIM: Goa’s COVID-19 mortality count touched 499-mark on Saturday with death of eight patients with co-morbid condition. 

The day also saw 343 people getting infected while as many as 460 positive patients were declared negative and cured.

Total 4,658 are active patients, undergoing hospitalisation and home isolation. 

Of the total seven deceased, four were admitted at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim and four in ESI Hospital, Margao. 

As per the bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), the victims include 78-year-old male from Vasco, 58-year-old male from Pernem, 86-year-old male from Merces, 75-year-old female from Margao, 51-year-old male from Mapusa, 67-year-old male from Margao, 68-year-old female from Cortalim and 67-year-old male from Curchorem.
