PANJIM: The monsoon session of Goa Legislative Assembly will commence on July 28, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said on Wednesday.
Sawant said the duration of the session will be decided after consulting the Speaker and will be announced later.
The fortnight-long Assembly budget session in March was curtailed and adjourned to July 19 due to a surge in COVID-19 cases and the model code of conduct which was in force for five municipal elections. On March 24, the first day of the session the Chief Minister had presented the State budget and a passed second Vote on Account for the next five months.
Later in May the Assembly was prorogued by the Governor.
