MARGAO: Arguments in the Velim Church case will now be heard on March 26.
The notice on the submission of the Director of Prosecution against the dropping of section of attempt to murder and others is still awaited.
The APP in the case has sought a change. The case has now been kept for report and arguments before charges. A date will be decided later whether the case will continue in the JMFC or will it be transferred to the Sessions Court. The defence counsel has already been on record criticising the government for allegedly playing with the sentiments of the Catholic community in the State. The counsel has expressed grief over the alleged flip flop by State Govt in the case by challenging the relief order to the accused.
