PANJIM: Goa Governor BV Wanchoo has summoned the Goa Legislative Assembly for the five-day budget session from March 3.
Legislature secretary Nilkanth Subhedar disclosed that the Business Advisory Committee of the State legislative assembly would be meeting in mid-February to decide on the business of the House.
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar would be tabling the third Budget of his present tenure for the financial year 2014-15. However the same would not be passed in this session. Government might table the action taken report of Budget 2013-14.
Parrikar had earlier said that government has managed to fulfill almost 80 percent of Budget promises.
If the code of conduct for Lok Sabha election comes into force before Assembly session, Government would not be in position to announce any welfare schemes.
The upcoming session might see some heated debate especially within the ruling MLAs itself with one BJP MLA Vishnu Wagh expressing his displeasure over government functioning publicly recently.
