PANJIM: The Goa Ayurvedic Medical Association has thanked the Chief Minister and Health Minister for considering their demands after the State government increased the salaries of AYUSH doctors, who are attached to various COVID facilities.
The government had cleared the file last week and all the AYUSH doctors, approximately 50 of them, will get enhanced salaries with retrospective effect from April 2020.

These include doctors who are under the National Rural Health Mission and are working as Medical Officers in various health centres.
The Association further pointed out that the doctors have formed an integral part of COVID management and have been giving their services to the people.
