Herald: I wanted a reaction on the latest on the police station attack case against you?
Monserrate: The case has been dragging on for seven years. At last the process of the law has started. The trial has started. I have sufficient faith in the judiciary (to see that justice is served). I am sure my stand will be vindicated. Earlier, the government had offered me any form of inquiry. But I did not have faith in the police and that is the reason I had asked for CBI inquiry. But I have not got justice from there too.
Herald: What about the allegations on the police (case filed by you) about the damage to your house?
Monserrate: I have made a representation to the Chief Minister (last week) where I have prayed for a fresh inquiry in the matter. If you go through the charge sheet you will find that what we had asked for has not been taken into consideration. We want a fresh inquiry into the incident.
