Mormugao MLA Raises Concerns Over Sada-Harbour Road Widening Work

Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar has raised concerns in the Goa Legislative Assembly over what he described as haphazard road widening work along the Sada-Harbour stretch.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Amonkar alleged that unsafe excavation and inadequate execution of the work had contributed to landslides in the area. He said the incidents resulted in the death of one labourer and injuries to two others.

Amonkar further alleged that excavated sections and adjoining areas had not been properly restored or secured, creating potential risks for residents, pedestrians, commuters, port workers and tourists.

The Mormugao MLA sought to know what measures the government plans to take to prevent further incidents and ensure safety along the stretch.
