CANACONA: Firemen were called to Patnem in Canacona at 12.30 pm on Thursday when fire broke out in a beach hut at Patnem, Canacona on Thursday causing a loss of Rs 50,000 to the owner. Fire and emergencies crew rushed to the site after receiving a call. Sources said that the fire crew led by fire fighter Ulhas Gaonkar and Anil Talpankar, Nitin Naik, Ganesh Naik, Ashok Gaonkar and Lekak Daikar with the help of locals doused the fire.
