Sources said police higher ups shortlisted SPs Vishram Borkar and Mohan Naik, and DySPs Sunita Sawant and Dinraj Govekar for approval from the Secretariat last month. “The names were suggested to CS’s office mid-Dec last year. But the file didn’t move till Jan 21. By the time the names reached Delhi, the panel (in Delhi) had finalised the names of cops,” an officer said.
