Unidentified miscreants allegedly broke into a bungalow near Borim Circle and made away with gold ornaments, cash and foreign liquor collectively valued at over ₹2 lakh, police said.
According to police sources, the burglars gained entry into the house during the night hours and decamped with gold jewellery worth approximately ₹1.3 lakh, ₹20,000 in cash, and around 20 bottles of foreign liquor valued at nearly ₹60,000.
The burglary came to light after the house owner noticed signs of forced entry and alerted the police. A case has been registered, and investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the accused. Police are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area and gathering other technical and local inputs as part of the probe.
