PANJIM: BJP’s Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral will head the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) as Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar ordered his appointment on Friday evening. This will be Cabral’s second stint as the tourism corporation’s Chairman.
The MLA confirmed receiving the appointment order signed by Tourism Director Sanjeev Gauns Dessai on Friday evening.
Speaking to Herald, he vouched to complete the pending projects in the interest of the State and visitors. “I will fast track all pending projects under the leadership of CM Parrikar. I will also work towards making Goa a family destination,” he said. Various projects such as the hot air balloon and multi level parking were launched during his previous stint.
Cabral is the first MLA to be given a corporation. Parrikar on Thursday had said that distribution of Corporations to various MLAs was being finalised and each MLA will get one corporation only.
